Burrower Progress, and That Which Hunts them

Ok here we go, some work done on one of the burrowers, still more painting to do, but a good idea of how its moving:

Ground is splitting up and out, will put a darker shade of brown down in the bottom of the splitting earth. And of course, more work on the creature itself ahead, tending towards red / orange. Couple of antennae possible. Or eyes on the end of tentacles... much thought ahead, while sipping a cold one perhaps.

Now, that which hunts the burrowers for food. Bought this Mage Knight Venomous Shadow Dragon for $5. 28mm Western Figure standing there for scale and to be a snack... Some shading to do and gloss to kill. Figure to put it on a 120mm x 120mm base and treat it as a Leviathan.

More "On the Paint Table" figures

Lets see if the pictures came out this time:

Base coat on the dirt of one of the Burrowers. Plan is to grass the back part and bits around the front to show the top cover of plant matter splitting open. After I paint the creature parts, more bits of dirt will be applied to the top edges.

The Dragonkin will probably be fanatics for game purposes. Lot of clean up on the colors to get them ready, but felt I could mount them up first, easy to reach what I need to paint. The four armored fellows will probably be an Elite Hand weapon unit. Flesh colors will be highlighted and some wash applied to the to shinny pole axe heads. Next are the 2 Wyverns. Am seriously going to look at trying to fit them both, artistically on a single base for a unit of Elite Flying Knights. Have to pick out a rider for each yet. If they just will not fit then them probably become hero's mounted on Large monster.  Next are the worms of eight eyes and hardened carapaces. Can be burrowers very easily. Small monsters for sure.

They came from Below

Working on some Burrowing creatures for Fantasy Rules! games. Always lacked dedicated underground monsters that breach the surface to attack. Came across and purchased some excess Tyranid plastic sprues at a Swap Meet. Few dollars later, some metal bases and textured Kel Seal:

They Is The LAW, pulp action Police

Finished up my Pulp Action policemen unit today, cept for the ever loving bases which will simply be graveled.

Tank Update Photo

WIP update photo with fenders and head lamps

Trucks and Vehicles

Purchased some trucks and cars from Bluemoon Miniatures. Have to say, they need a lot of attention to detail when cleaning and assembling. A Lot. Pieces were not sent with the stake bed truck, wheels and the back stake walls had 2 right side pieces which meant customizing one to fit the other side. When assembled with scratch built wheels it came out pretty good.

Next up is the 4 door sedan. Still working on getting the resin cleaned up. Hats off to RRsize for his efforts in getting the Mechanized portion of the 1st Mechanized Precinct ready for the 2ndACW battles we will be fighting in June.

Self Propeled Artillery

OK next out of the factory is a work in progress that will not quiet make it to priming tonight:

Where I am at at the moment, Gun mount figured out and raised for pivot rather than totally fixed mount gun.

Earlier shots of side skirts and munition boxes being mounted.

Where I started the project with, bits and pieces from the Grant Tank 1/48th model I am deconstructing for parts for the self propelled gun.
